A brief history
One lonely, dark, sad afternoon, in SPH chapel, Barnham, West Sussex, a guitarist and a drummer decided that it was about time to have a 'jam'; and boy they did! The two became three as a second guitarist joined, but this sadly didn't work out. Many tears were shed! Rob and Craig boldly carried on through the hard times recruiting musician after musician as they went. Again and again, sadly things didn't work out. No tears were shed on these occasion though! Then in the summer of 2002, as if by magic, Craig turned and there shone the brightest ginger locks of hair ever seen by mankind! Craig knew straight away that this ginger child was the chosen one and immediately took him under his wing. The ginger wonder became the bassist of this as yet unnamed band, he took on the name of Robbie Collins but will always be known to us as the 'highly flavoured tangerine'! The band began to compose a few songs. BUT THERE WAS STILL SOMETHING MISSING! The trio searched high and low for someone of the vocal calibre they required to suit their shit. Then at band practice in the depths of a cold and dark Clymping winter, with Jack Frost nipping at their noses, in walked a vertically challenged young girl who went by the name of Becky Holloway, originally coming to watch the band practice with her friend Charlotte. After extensive complaining about the lack of a singer, Charlotte opened her big mouth stating the fact that Becky could sing like an angel, and sheepishly she stepped up to the mic and began, within seconds the band knew she was the one. She accepted their offer, on the conditions that there was to be no touching or jokes about her height, the band accepted. Many names were tried by the now complete four-piece, none of which matched the immature nature of the four. It was finally agreed that they would go by the name of Uncle Blowfish, mainly because they couldn't be arsed to think of anything else! Finally the band was whole! We apologise for being immature, unfunny and untalented. If you don't like us or our music then don't listen to us! We love you all! THANK YOU |
